We had such a fabulous time with our guide Shailesh on A Chefs Tours Mumbai Hidden Street Eats by Train I wish I could give them ten stars. Fabulous food and such authentic unforgettable experiences - it felt like we were exploring Mumbai with a friend. Our tour took place February 25 before the virus shut everything down. Once it is safe to travel again highly recommend you book this tour ( believe the have renamed now as I booked at least a year ago) and if you had to cancel rebook !

This Bombay food tour takes you on a 4.5 hours long walking tour to food hop to taste some of the amazing local Indian dishes. While this tour is all about food, you will be blown away by all the little surprises that A Chef's Tour has in store for you! What makes this fabulous experience even better is the tour guide Shantanu who will not let you drift away for even one moment, and was happy to share lots of interesting stories about the history of the vendors, the dishes and all things Mumbai! This wholesome food experience will be the highlight of your trip to India!

This is not the first food tour we have done with A Chef’s Tour and it won’t be our last. What an amazing experience, Shantanu our guide was fantastic . In fact, every tour we have done with a CT the guides have been amazing. We have done food tours with other companies but mostly they are very touristy. A Chef’s Tour takes you away from the tourist hotspots to places you would never go to or find on your own, and the food we tried was indescribably wonderful. I cannot rate this tour highly enough . If I could give it ten stars I would. Thank you so much Shantanu for such an amazing experience. We will be back. Very soon.

What a great way to explore the city and sample some street food delights, eating at places I wouldn’t have tried without the reassurances of a guide! Shailesh was an excellent tour guide; well informed, personable and ensured the whole group had a great time, were well looked after and well fed!! Great to experience the local transport and it wasn’t just about going from place to place for food but also got to see a diverse mix of areas in Mumbai. And last but not least, no side effects afterwards!

We enjoyed this tour a lot, and certainly tasted some things we never would have tried without a guide. It was fun to see different parts of Mumbai (and transportation options) and the guide was very careful to make sure nobody got lost--a real possibility as we went racing along. Overall, we were very happy with this tour. However, we didn't get to try as many different things as the description implied, and it felt a bit rushed. Also, would have been very nice to get a list of the things we tried, and where they were, so we could more easily try them again or go back.
