It falls in an area called as Colaba in South Mumbai, the city part of Mumbai. A pristine structure from the British days and has the Taj Mahal Hotel in front both the old and new Taj. A good area for people to visit and probably take a boat ride at the Gateway. Generally crowded on weekends.

Gateway is synonymous with erstwhile Bombay and a major tourist attraction. We make it to visit here once in a while to have that old connect . Taking a sea cruise here is must to have cool breeze. Watching the towering taj hotel from across the road is added window to history. Pigeons feeding make it a good photo op

Really just a whole bunch of people looking at a hollow structure build by the British about a hundred years ago. Fun to say you were there I guess.

We have visited many times. In morning it is less crowded and very charming. In evening it is very crowded. Well maintained surrounding. Kids can enjoy feeding to Pegions.
