Gateway of India

Historically interesting but can't get very close as the area around it is cordoned off. Lots of people!

Nice monument to take pictures. But the surrounding is quite dirty. You will be sweating in a hot day. Bring some drinking water. Dont go to the toilet nearby. It was horrible.

Well. That's what we were always taught in schools...that the Queen entered India from this majestic arch . Beauty of architecture across an equally beautiful taj palace hotel. Loads of cheap street vendors and photo ops. Great place to hop on to a cheap boat for a 1 hour ride around the harbour . Loved to feed the doves and... More

Called here as part of a tour and it takes your breath away. It was the eighth anniversary of the shootings and there was plenty going on

We were so lucky to be staying at the Taj Hotel so our bedroom overlooked this amazing structure. The building itself is perhaps not so special but the history behind it and the atmosphere make it another must see in Mumbai. If you are there make sure you allow a full day and take the ferry from here across to... More

It felt honored to witness the monument which is a symbol of all the lives lost during the war. its an open place so was really crowded and i managed to find a photographer to get some pics done and overall its a must see.

This iconic building was on our list of visits and although it has lost none of its historic impact, the dreadful events that surrounded it and the Taj Hotel has meant that important security measures takes away much of its regal impact. It was a sad note on an otherwise wonderful month away in India

Huge monument, amazing piece of colonial architecture. Nice to see. During our visit the monument was not accessible and we could only watch it from a distance; it was still outstanding
