If you like to bargain over mostly cheap goods with good natured locals, go here. If you are claustrophobic and paranoid, walk to the edge and steer clear. Walking the sidewalk is a sensual overload experience.

A little English and a little of every world. The street is an amazing place to have some fun shopping and quick bites. Look for some trendy jewellery and funky tops here. I love the feel of this place!!

The causeway is a road with market stalls and shops in the historical part of south Mumbai. Popular among tourists. A good place to buy cheap clothes and haggle with the vendors. Some good bars/restaurants such as Leopold and Mondegar along the causeway too.

This busy street in Mumbai is perfect for tourists and locals looking to buy economical souvenirs and jewelry. The vendors are persistent and it is a must to bargain!

This is frentic South Mumbai. Crowded, chaotic, noisy yet charming all the same with a strong whiff of nostalgia. The most popular area for tourists- domestic and foreign. About three kms only, and stretching from Regal to Colaba Post Office, this causeway has an amazing variety of shops and eating joints. Also close to the iconic Gateway and Taj Hotel.... More

Crowded commercial street. Use your bargaining skills while shopping. Crowded with locals and tourists but great place to buy souvenirs and trinkets.

Western shops abound but local shops, people and market sellers were hidden in the causeway cracks. It was a good time walking back and forth. We walked about 5-7 km up and back from the Taj hotel.
