Pleasant visit

A visit to Sanjay Gandhi National Park takes you out of the craziness of the metropolitan. Quite a nice visit if one can take a day's time out.

Though it is called 'national park' this place is more like a jungle than any protected area. Miles of greenery in midst of concrete jungle of Mumbai, SGNP is a wonderful place for daily walks and strolls. But a tourist visit is more of a disaster. Entry charges are very unreasonably high and on Weekends are very heavenly crowded. Do... More

The visit to this national park was very disappointing, as there were no animals or birds. The huge place is lying in a bad condition with no animals, encroachments, lack of maintenance and so on.

This place is so huge that you wont believe you are in Mumbai. Lot of things to see and they even run a toy train. Kaneri caves also give as opportunity to see some great architecture. Rock climbers also love the place.

I visited this place for a rock-climbing and rappeling activity. Its a nice place to breath a fresh air and take a nice walk in the nature.

This was my second visit to the park. Monday everything is closed so don't go. Early morning say 7.30 am is good time. First go to canary Caves then Vanrani Train and then safari. But mind well that this is not safari as in jungle. You will see lioness and Tiger but in cage. And deer and black buck. Good... More

The lion & Tiger safari is nice. But it's less of a safari per say but just going in a bus to see the lion, lioness and some tigers sitting in enclosures. Tip- Take the seats on the left side of the bus for better view, and to save the trouble of getting up from your seats to see them... More
