I have visited several courts in India over the years, but on trying to visit the Mumbai High Court there was excessive tiers of security, impossible to speak to any staff about possible interesting cases over the next few days, eventually gave up all hope and left.

The building is very old, but nicely constructed. Easily accessible by road/rail. Eating joints are available in the surrounding.

Bombay high court is in a heritage property. While going from there you can always have a glance at the architecture and relish the old time charm.

We drove passed and admired the wonderful Victorian architecture which was a pleasant surprise. The city has some marvellous buildings and the exterior of this one is spectacular.

Although only able to see the High Court from the outside of the building it is well worth a visit. The building is very beautiful. Our guide offered lots of interesting stories about the building which helped us to understand its heritage. Worth a photo stop.

The Bombay High Court is a beautiful building architecturally. Built in the Gothic Revival style (many bombay buildings are in this style) the building is a sight to behold and looks best in the day. It is still a functioning court so you can't go in unless you find yourself on the other side of the law. Good for a... More

The architecture of this British Raj days building is a strange mix of Indian, Moghul and British (my views). Not a necessary place to see, nothing to do especially, but if you are racking up tourist points do go there. It is in the down town area with lots of "old" colonial days spots.

A sad view !!! This large Victorian style buildings needs maintenance, upkeep, renovation, facade cleaning ! The city fathers have no understanding for aesthetics...this is carelessness at its extreme...unfortunately it is the same for the rest of Mumbai.
