Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After reading all the bus suggestions online I went on to catching a bus directly from Vytilla Bus Hub and it proved to be beneficial as the frequency of busses for Guruvayoor was amazing. Every 10 mins I saw a bus for Guruvayoor rolling in. I hoped in one after confirming it with a fellow passenger about its destination as I didn't know the local language. It costed me 93 rupees ... totally worth it for a journey of one and half hours and a drop right in front of the temple. Similarly while leaving Guruvayoor the pick up point was in front of the gate itself

During Sep'18, myself with my hubby & parents got to visit Ashtika Samaj - Kochu Guruvayoor temple located at Matunga. It was the first temple visited at Mumbai with my hubby.

It was a beautiful South Indian temple, set up as a place of public worship in Matunga, Mumbai. Ashtika Samaj is also offering to the community, with full-fledged Marriage Hall within the temple complex.

The deities available in the temple are Lord Ganapathi, Lord Ayyappan, Ram-Sita, Lord Guruvayoorappan, Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Navagrahas etc., we had very good divine feel at the temple. Must visit temple at Matunga.

It is a South Indian Temple near Matunga central Railway station. Maheshwari Udyan is also near to this place. I visited this temple at 12.00 noon. It was closed at that time for the visitors.

A must visit to one of the oldest and divine temples in Matunga / Kings Circle. You have most of the Hindu gods worshipped inside the temple - (Lord) Guruvayurappan, Ganpathi, Hanuman, Shiva, Navgraha, Rama-Lakshman-Sita, Ayyappan, Murugan.
They are open morning till 10 am, and 11 on Thu-Sat-Sun. Then believe, they open at 4-5pm.
You really feel a spiritual and divine experience from your visit.
Most of the offerings are accepted.
If you need to book Pal Payasam, suggest do so a day in advance.
All Mumbaikars should definitely visit this temple.

The Guruvayur and Ram temple complex in Mumbai is open to all. Ram is believed to be the perfect man or lord of self-control. The temple has an upper complex containing five sacred gold-plated urns. This allows passers-by to look at them for absolution of all their sins.

People please don’t ride in elephants because they are neglected and when you pay for that you just make them suffer even more. Let’s write more reviews until they free them and let the have the life they deserve. Thank you!

Although the temple is built on the lines of the main temple guruvayur, one could say that this is a mini version of it and the temple has all the deities such as ram-sita- lakshman, hanuman, ganpati, etc. The temple is located right on the roadside leading to matunga railway station and has a majestic entrance(gopuram) though you won't be able to see it because of the trees etc. The temple opens at around 4:30 in the evening and they do have provision for arranging pujas\offerings etc. The place is somewhat crowded but the authorities do make a lot of arrangements for managing the crowd. in fact, if you visit by 5 pm, the crowd is very less. The ambiance is very spiritual inside the temple and one would experience peace of mind.As far as the parking space is concerned, they don't have any specific area and its very difficult to park on the main road, given the fact that the main road is very narrow and always crowded.

I have been visiting the temple since childhood. It has a nostalgic experience every moment you visit it. Apart from the main deity- Guruvayur, you also have other deities- Ganapati, Ayappa, Ram-sita, Hanuman, Shani Dev etc. The temple is well maintained including the wash rooms. Check the temple timings before you visit the temple. During religious festivals you may find the temple crowded. It is a very old temple and that adds to your spiritual experience.

It is located near to Matunga Central railway station else hire a taxi from Dadar central railway station to Bhandarkar Road.

Exremely divine place for prayers early morning... The environment is extremely conducive for prayers……There is no crowd at around 7 am…

Since there is deity of Guruvayoorappan, Ram, Karthikeya, Shiva, Ayyappan, Hanuman, Navagraha, Ganesha & Nagaraja, this is the place for prayer for all South Indians atleast………
