- Gem F6 contributionsExcellent Indian cooking experienceAn amazing afternoon cooking with Chef Lokesh. It was just me and my husband so felt very personal and sitting down with him and his wife to eat after was such a nice touch. The food we made was delicious (you can choose from veg or non-veg menus), we cannot wait to try the recipes again at home. Would definitely recommend this cooking class to anyone!Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 April 2023
- Kathryn S8 contributionsOne of our favorite activities of the tripIf you're thinking of doing a cooking class in Jaipur, this one is fantastic! You will be greeted by Lokesh and his wife Gitika who make you feel right at home as if you have lifelong friends in Jaipur. Be sure to give yourself a few extra minutes to get over there if you're coming from the center of the city, but otherwise it's easy to find. Lokesh is very talented and knowledgeable and makes Indian cuisine approachable for the enthusiastic foreign cook. The meal was delicious and was enjoyed in a very relaxed, familial environment. Lokesh and Gitika- we haven't forgotten you and that delicious naan!Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 July 2023
- Arantxa L2 contributionsCan't leave Jaipur without visiting chef Lokesh!Cooking with Chef Lokesh was such a wholesome experience. For a start he gives you a document with all the recipes so you are not stressing out taking notes during the class. All the ingredients are fresh and made from scratch and he is also gives you tips on how to store prepared sauces, etc. The highlight for us was learning how to make our own paneer and naans and how friendly and relaxed the class was. Not only was the cooking amazing but Chef Lokesh and his wife are such wonderful human beings and we shared travel stories and memories over dinner. Saying this is a must do in Jaipur is an understatement, you just can't leave without experiencing this!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 July 2023
- Michael H11 contributionsExcellent experienced chef gives Indian cooking classGetting to learn some Indian cooking techniques with Chef Lokesh was such a privilege. Lokesh has been a professional chef for his whole career and it really shows. My fiance and I are fairly familiar with Indian cuisine and spices but it was Lokesh' techniques which were especially illuminating. He did a great job of demonstrating techniques a few times before handing them off to us to try. I can't recommend his class enough.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 November 2023
- ffonzMadrid, Spain107 contributionsOutstanding Class from a Pro!I enjoyed an excellent evening with Lokesh and his wife. He has a variety of menus to choose from. I chose one of the vegetarian options, which had some dishes that were simple to make, yet tasty (palak paneer, aloo ghobi, vegetable korma, etc). I was the only person in the class, and I learned some “pro” tips from him, since he has a long hotel restaurant experience. I’ve taken several other cooking classes in India, and I have to say that this one was outstanding for how well organized and professional it was. After cooking, I had dinner with Lokesh and his wife, and we had some excellent conversation. They are a truly nice and friendly couple. And to top it off, they packed the leftovers for me so I was able to enjoy the food again!Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten 5 December 2023
- LITTLEMOMENTSMMD42 contributionsIndian delight with great hospitalityThis cooking class is wonderful! The best food we've had in India so far. We cooked menu no. 3 with dal. Chef Lokesh showed us the fine little tricks of Indian cuisine. I would recommend this course to my nearest and dearest. And we will gladly repeat it. Thank you very much for your hospitality.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 December 2023
- Matt M3 contributionsSuch a great cooking class, I went twice!I was able to call in the morning and have a private lesson that evening for dinner. I chose Menu option 1 and made chai, tamarind chutney, a starter, a rice dish, 2 main dishes, a desert, and naan. Everything was clean and all the food was made from scratch from fresh ingredients and spices, including the paneer! The hosts were so nice and we ate the food together after. I got a packet to take home to help me remember what we did. I can't wait to make not only the dishes at home, but also to incorporate some of the additional skills I was able to pick up, like how I can keep dried tamarinds for many months and make fresh chutney as I need it, rather than buying tamarind paste at the store that will go bad quickly. Overall, totally recommend the class and I would like to go back and try a different menu if I have time. Update: I went back for a second class the morning before my train. They allowed me to start half an hour early and helped my catch an uber to my train. And packed up the leftover food for me to take on the train. I chose menu #4, but asked to replace the default dessert (gulab jamun) with halwa. They had never taught it before and it's not on any of their menus but they happily agreed to teach me. Also when we were making it, the recipe calls for ghee at the end but we opted to leave it out and I think the dish was so much better without it! They were so accomodating and I'm glad I went back!Visited January 2024Travelled soloWritten 17 January 2024
- Frederick H3 contributionsYou will love it!You will love it!.. .. Is what we was told by Chef Lokesh as we prepped the food, and we certainly did! We have both attended numerous cooking classes over the world, and this by far was the best we have attended. Both in terms of the attention of Chef Lokesh, but also the outcome of food! We tried Option 7, and our favourite meal (not just here but of our whole Indian trip) was the Chicken Soweta. All ingredients were freshly grounded in front of us, and the flavour was incredible. Not only did we enjoy the cooking and learning process, but we had a fantastic time exchanging stories over food together with the family. We went in as students/teacher but left as friends. I highly recommend this activity for anyone who loves Indian food and wants to learn how to easily make some local Indian dishes. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and teaching us these skills! When back in Jaipur we will certainly be back! This was an excellent experience. A great introduction to Indian cooking. Professional Chef Lokesh was warm and welcoming and took us through every step to blend our own spices and make our own paneer, kofta, biryani, naan and kheer, which we then sat down to eat with him and his lovely wife.
Chef Lokesh has a great set up with a separate kitchen on the ground floor just for his cooking classes. An excellent afternoon, complete with detailed recipes to take home. We also enjoyed the conversation with Lokesh and his wife.
The booking process was easy and quick using the number from the website on WhatsApp. All in all
highly memorable and recommended

Go onto the website and you will find his email address . Send him an email and let him know dates that would suit you . He will send you the list of menus and you can choose which one. They are different prices. Ours was 2400 IR which was a non vegetarian .I think there were about 6 to choose from . You can either pay cash on the night or use PayPal
