We woke up very early at 3am and left the hotel at 4am to see sunrise at tiger hill. But this plan turned out to be complete disappointment as the weather was too cloudy that we barely saw kanchunjunga from the hill...and the sunrise was nothing new..as usual... it felt like we were frozen there for nothing..

This attraction is a huge crowd puller and that is a major buzzkill. When you don't even get a proper view due to huge crowds you ask yourself, was it worth it?. Since its the most famous to do thing in Darjeeling you have to do it. I would say just get it over with. I am sorry to say... More

Visited Tiger Hill for the sunrise whilst staying at Ging Tea House. Despite the early start, crowds of people and slow trip back down the hill it was an exceptional experience. Our driver from the Tea House managed to get us very near the the top of Tiger Hill so only a very short walk (and he managed to find... More

Need to start at 4 am and is a one hour drive from the city. The sun rise is pretty cool with its rays making the kanchanjunga change colors from off white to golden to white. One can see the different shades of blue in the sky with moon also visible. It seems the whole city is there with so... More

Get up before 4 am and drive for 20 Km to reach this overcrowded spot. Walk up to the top constantly harassed by Coffee vendors. The place is bad with too many people. the sunrise average..better sunrises at many places in India. Kanchenjunga is mostly in clouds... Moreover Kanchenjunga is visible from lots of spots in Darjeeling (Batasia Loop). Sheer... More

This is probably the best view one can capture in his eyes for the lifetime. Wait for 2 hours at the chilling peak of the mountain makes you frozen but it all worth when the splendid view of sunrise appears. This could be probably one of the best mornings i ever had. No doubt tiger hill point enthralled me with... More

You just can't miss the Tiger Hill if you are at Darjeeling. The sunrise, the golden sun rays falling on the Kanchenjunga, the coffee, the chilled weather makes this place stand apart from other places at Darjeeling. One thing i would like to suggest everyone is to opt for the trek route from Tiger Hill to Ghum. It is a... More
