Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lamahatta Eco Park is a beautiful park to visit. One has to trek for approx 1 km to reach the sacred pond. There are plenty of benches to rest while trekking upwards. There are pine trees all over. Overall very serene and secluded.

The visit to the park on slope of the mountain is really charming. It is exciting for kids also to walk via the trails and enjoy the bends in the misty weather, though it might be tough for aged people to hike. The trail leads to a pond uphill, which is around 20-30 minutes hike from the gate. The place around the lake is a dreamy one, so as the pine forest behind the lake. The pond is a must visit to get the real charm of the spot.

We visited Lamahatta on the way when going from Kalimpong to Darjeeling. The place has beautiful flowers and pine trees all around it which provides several photogenic points. There is a watch tower and pond also inside the park but we did not go all the way up.

Beautifully maintained. Tall pine trees. A good new place in the tourist map of Darjeeling. New home stays have come up. Good place for a couple of days

Yesterday, 17th July, instead going back to Siliguri by normal NH 55 via Kurseong, I choose to return via Lamahatta. I could not imagine, what a beautiful route it is. One should choose to go by this route to enjoy. 3-4 km road is damaged at Teesta. Overall very good road and nature

The main attraction of Lamhatta is a beautifully manicured garden, with the tall pine trees being the main attraction - which I believe is nature's own gift to the place. Visiting the garden on a sunny day will be a charming experience. Nice place to stop by on the way to Tinchooley.

lamahatta is a place where an eco park has been developed. Nice park amidst nature. Near by you may go to the lovers point where Teesta meets rangit. You may travel from siliguri or from darjeeling. In case you want to stay, there are number of home stays. But it is better to stay in Takdah or tinchule and vist lamahatta as a sight seeing spot

Its a little park stituated on a hill slope, maintained by the local villagers. They have a nominal entry fee for the park. Once inside, you can walk on beautiful trails through pine forests, there is also a watchtower that you can climb for views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It has excellent photographic potential too. A good place to visit for 2-3 hours. You can go with kids and families.

We accidentally visited this place but no regrets. Lamahatta is beautiful and serene place away from the hustle and bustle of Darjeeling. You will fall in love with this place once u visit. There are nice homestays in the area. We stayed at the Lamahatta Lodge run by an ex armyman. There is another homestay next to it, run by two sisters...that was also good.
There is another place nearby...Tinchuley. Do visit.
