It's a zoo: the snow leopard and the tiger are very impressive to see but otherwise there is nothing particular that it make sit a must-do.

Attraction for children. Compared to Pilikula Zoo (at Mangalore) or Mysore Zoo, it is not good. But you can visit red panda here. If you have children then it is a good time pass. Inside they have a small museum - that is very good.

We had heard this was one of India's best zoos. While it was interesting to see animals like red pandas, tiger, leopard, we found the state of the enclosures to be too small and lacking stimulation for many animals. All of us felt sorry for the animals pacing around, or birds in aviaries too small for them to fly properly.... More

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park - one should visit during the stay in Darjeeling. You will get to see number or Red Panda and snow leapers. Not very well maintained though but one who love nature and animals will enjoy the visit especially if with family and kids.

A very well organized and well kept zoo with a dedicated museum as well. The selection of animals on display is small but they are quite interesting if you like wild cats, reptiles and Deers. Entry was very cheap but stays open only till 5:30PM so you need to consider that. You can cover the whole zoo in 2 -... More

The animals are in good shape, they really take care of them. Remember you need to walk up the steep climbs. Children will really enjoy a lot.

Variety of high altitude animals can be seen like clouded leopard, snow leopard, red panda etc. The ambience is good though one has to walk on steep roads. Overall good experience
