It is a very good Zoo to visit. It has a collection of many species of animals. Rare varieties of birds are also seen. Children will like this zoo. Elderly people will find it little difficult to climb and see the animal dens. Entrance fee is also nominal. The Zoo closes by 5-5.30 PM

A delightful zoo well kept and maintained and although the wolf seemed a little stir crazy, walking back and forth, everything else appeared content and happy. A good visit.

It's a zoo, like all other zoos. And like other zoos, some idiots choose to ignore the "Do Not Disturb/Do Not Intimidate Animals" signs. When the animals don't react the way these people expect, hilarity ensues.

One of the better zoo's in India, with rare Himalayan animals and birds. Loved seeing the red panda and the black bear. The zoo has clear signage and it is well worth taking a couple of hours to spend here.

Per person Entry ticket -Rs.50 Include in the ticket is the pass to Mountaineering institute and Musuem of natural history. Worth it to see all the exotic animals over there.

I do not like zoos, but had to pass through this one to get to the mountaineering museum. I imagine in th 1960s when it was built it was pretty revolutionary, however today it is difficult to imagine how the animals can be content there. Some have better enclosures than others, the bear was ok, but the lemurs didn't even... More

Went with some misgivings regarding animal welfare in India and in Zoos in general but assuming you accept the principle of captive animals, we thought it well managed, the enclosures were OK and the animals in good health. Worth supporting.

I loved seeing a snow leopard, red pandas, and the other animals, but was upset by seeing some of the animals pacing and stressed out. I don't know why they had langurs, I've seen them roaming freely throughout India, so doesn't seem right to keep them in captivity in such a small cage. Although I appreciated the zoos attempts at... Lots of things under one roof, well maintained. The mountaineering museum gives a great feeling of the Himalayas.
