We visited Darjeeling in the month of June 2019. It was my first ever experience of watching sun rise and the rays falling on the snow capped Mt.Kanchenjunga. It was a breathtaking view. Truly rejuvenating and gets you forget everything else and takes you to a whole new world. The place gets too crowded as everyone rushes to catch the glimpse. And since the sunrise in this place happens earlier than the rest of India, you might have to be there between 4 and 4:30 AM which means, you need to wake up by 3:30 AM to be able to witness this marvel.

Make sure to reach by 4.00-4,30AM as the place gets really crowded for the sunrise. As you enter the place, position your self in front of the building where it rounds towards other direction. From this point you would be able to see the sunrise on your right and Kanchenjunga changing colours on left.

If you are in Darjeeling and you haven't visited tiger hill sunrise observatory then your Darjeeling visit is worthless. Some one cant complain of busy schedule to visit tiger hill sunrise observatory because if you want to visit this place you have to wake up at 3am and you have to reach the destination by 4.30 am. And believe me you will not be disappointment. It will be lifetime experience for you to watch Sun god coming out with beautiful view of Kanchanjunga.

Of Couse in rainy season or in cloudy season it is waste of time and money both. If climate is clear then & then you can think to visit this place. This point is part of local sightseen package. So you can negotiate /omit the spot is climate does not support.

You will get share sumo and all vehicle from town. It was cost me about Rs.200 it include 3 attraction Tiger hill , batasia loop,Tibetan Buddhist Monastery darjelling. You need reach there by 4.00 am and get the share taxi. They will take you to tiger hill 1st followed by rest places. The main attraction in tiger hill is Sunrise and color changes in Kanchenjunga. Kanchenjunga is absolutly beauty with the background of the rising sun.Dont miss this place very beautyfull

On a clear day you get an excellent view of snow covered mountain ranges dominated by Kanchenjunga. Mount Everest is visible in the distance.

It was an awesome experience as it was a clear morning. Looking at Kanchenjunga with the sunrise is simply mesmerizing.

Enjoy the sunrise but with clear sky only.

It depends on the season which you are travelling.

Donot expect it in the monsoon months.
