Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited Iscon Temple on 22/4/2023.they have a shop beside the temple, there staff do not know how to behave with customer, just because they are working under temple organization, they think they are the boss. One of the guruje used Slang to his co- worker. Very Unprofessional place. They did co- operate properly.

Although this place is meant to bring peace in people's mind however the Prabhus of this particular Isckon are greedy and misogynistic. They berated me even when I was a lifetime member having contributed a lot of money against which I did not get any service. Both during janmashtami and during my birthday I neither had the puja or get the Prasad as outlined in isckon website. On the contrary the prabhus and security man threatened me and was condescending. I would recommend an immediate addition of women supervisor at this Isckon. Additionally, better training for the prabhus to stop their entitlement. They are demeaning the name of Krishna. Hare Krishna.

The Iskcon people have good intentions, but misguided actions. They worship their gods with splendour and wealth. Their wealth is gathered with questionable means. The books that they distribute are with bad translations and commentaries, although they claim that their author was a Vedic scholar. He did not even know Sanskrit, however. People who know the scriptures know very well, that the Iskcon stuff is fake, just for show aand to impress and brainwash their devotees.

Unfortunately Indians are easily impressed by a show of wealth and western efficency, and by the external looks of books and other devices.

Even though their temples all over the world, as the one here in Kolkata, are nice to see to the eye, and the behaviour of the people there seems to be exemplary outwardly, you should not be deceived by the lack of inner quality. Real Bhakti does not need to show off. It is rather found in poor places, where more inner qualities are cultivated.

Very nicely maintained and secured place to visit for anybody - not only you'll get to visit one of the finest places in Kolkata, but also you may end up getting complimentary food if you're on the right time at the venue.

I am sorry I spent my time looking for this place: people were generally unfriendly and as a female solo traveller I have been repeatedly rudely addressed. In the coffee shop the waiter wouldn't even talk to me. I understand religious constraints but I believe this goes beyond. I feel sorry as I had always thought of this religion as based on equality and joy, and I was wrong. From the architectural point of view the temple is nothing meaningful either.

It is the blessings of Radha Madhav that i am able to have his darshan. Initially it was once a month later it become 15 days then once a week and now at least 2-3 times in a week. If i do not have his darshan in a span of 2-3 days i feel very suffocated . He has been very kind and i am fortunate that in spite of my busy schedule i am able to get darshan of the Almighty. The Kirtans, prayers , aarti etc really makes me happy and gives positive energy.

lastly i would request all my friends to chant the Mahamantra whever they get time as it eases tension in our day to day life. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama rama Rama Hare Hare,

Jai Shree Krishna
