    Timeless Elegance at the Vineyard
My delightful experience at the vineyard was exceptional. For 45 euros pp, my friends and I tasted five exquisite wines, paired with delicious snacks like cheeses, chorizo, and olives. The highlight was the special wine tasting event for restaurants, where we had the privilege to try the oldest bottles, including a stunning vintage from 2001. We particularly enjoyed the red wines from 2007, 2012, 2017, and 2019, and were mesmerized by a champagne-method sparkling wine. The standout was a red wine, scoring 99 out of 100, an indescribable treat. We left with many bottles, cherishing the memories and experiences shared.
Thank you for your kind words! You are welcome back!

When in Barat or Tirana, Go to Albania's Outstanding Vineyard for an Excellent Wine Tasting & Tour
We understand now why Cobo is Albania's gem of a vineyard, with a tradition spanning four generations now. We did the 35 Euro tasting after the informative tour with Enis, the youngest of the siblings who work at the family establishment. We tried their award winning white wine, two reds, a sparkling (Shandevere), and a raki (maybe a second white, I forget), along with some side snacks of cheese (2), olives, and bread. Why would all three of us highly recommend this place so strongly? 1. The working siblings made everyone (others around us, too) feel right at home. 2. Even more important, I suppose, the wine is terrific and we were compelled to buy some. 3. The atmosphere was relaxing and we can see why the international awards and 99 points were assigned to three different bottles. Cobo Winery is a must-see in Albania if you are a wine lover, I would say. It's a shame we could not fit more than one extra bottle in our suitcases. Although we could not ship a box to our home in the USA, later in the evening, I found that the local distributors have some of Cobo's wine in their collection. Hurray for that!
Thank you for your kind words! It was our pleasure!

    A great wine experience
Great way to have a different lunch experience. Lots of olives cheese and cornbread. Plenty of wine. Expensive but lots of wine to taste. Best if you want to drink brandy and raki (eur45) otherwise do the cheaper option (eur25)

Very nice wines. When we visited without booking in advance we couldn’t do the normal tour and wine tasting as it was fully booked so recommend booking in advance. However, we bought some wine directly from the producers which was great.

If you're in Berat, you need to go check out this winery. The winery itself and their storage area are beautiful. The tasting is incredible. We went with the most expensive one and it was so worth it! We got to try 5 wines, 3 rakis and 1 cognac and the pours are not small. Plus the appetizers that accompany the drinks are delicious. It is a family owned business and you can tell how much they all love wine. Can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our tour of Cobo winery. Greated by friendly staff from when we first walked in to when we finished our visit at the Wine Tasting.
Absolutely a beautiful place We enjoyed sitting out for our wine tasting. We got lucky to meet the owner Muharem, which he made our experience one to remember. You could tell he loved what he did and made our wine tasting experience very fun for us. Thank you Muharrem! I would definitely recommend to everyone.

We arrive early Sunday morning by taxi (approx. 10 euro/1300 Leke) and all was very quiet, we were worried that maybe the vineyard was not open, but then Ariana came round the corner and introduced herself and took us on a one to one tour of the beautiful family vineyard. We first walk through all the processing rooms and Ariana told us all about the different stages as well as the history of the vineyard and her Grandfathers/families story. It was a very professional and personal tour. Ariana's dialogue was fascinating and I learnt some interesting facts. Post tour we signed up for the wine tasting (March 2022 28 euros) and took a seat in the show room. Ariana was very attentive and the family put together some lovely snacks to complement the wines we were to taste. My friend who is a vegan was also well catered for. The wine was excellent and the experience was very enjoyable. We spent approx. 4 hours on the tour and wine tasting and purchased wine, olive oil and Raki afterwards. Everything was well wrapped for our onward journey.
I would highly recommend a visit here, it was definitely a highlight of our trip and Ariana was a fantastic guide.

What a fantastic experience! A small winery with an amazing passion for recovering and promoting Albanian wines. Objectively, the wines are already of very good quality and will only improve with age. Staff is very personable, attentive and speak great English! Highly recommended for anyone who loves good wine ❤️

My guide called ahead to see if we could stop in for a wine tasting. Had a tour of their wine making process including a brief overview of their sparkling wine process. Upstairs is the tasting room and you can choose tastings of several wines (reasonably priced ones and expensive ones). The tastings came with local cheese, olives and fresh bread. The family member was a young lad who spoke excellent english.

As someone who has tasted wine in various countries, the portion sizes were like regular 'glasses' about 150ml. After the first glass, I asked for less or else they would have had to roll me out the door to the car! I really enjoyed the red Shesh grape and the Pules white. Loved trying different grapes from the usual varietals.

We visited a few wineries in the Berat area, but Cobo is definitely the best. A family run business, you will get to taste their (too) expensive wines as well as their more regular and properly priced wine, which we found to be quite good. They also produce a nice and easy to drink sparkling wine. If you buy wine and not eat there, you might get sample tasting for free.
