Never seen a monument to a Boll Weevil. How could anyone visit Enterprise and not go to this unique display. You can't miss it.....right in the center of town. Watch out for traffic in both directions. Everyone we talked to said when you are in...More

So, the monument isn't really a tourist destination. It's no Statue of Liberty or anything remotely close. It's a monument in the middle of the road that pays homage to the boll weevil. It's worth a drive through town, if you're in the area. It's...More

Enterprise has a lovely Downtown from the streets adorned with the American Flags and hanging planters. Cute shops, Boil Weevil Monument, Building Murals, and cute Restaurants. It is quaint and lovely!

Not like there is much to see, but it is a unique monument to the agricultural pest, the Boll Weevil. It's in the middle of the intersection so getting up close is tricky

What else but a 1919 monument to the Boll Weevil! This unfortunate pest brought down the cotton crop but allowed the development of more diverse and more profitable agricultural interests like peanuts.

Statue is located right in the center of downtown. I am told, tourist regularly, park their cars, and walk into the street to have their picture taken with the statue. It's pretty comical to me, but hey it's listed as #2 thing to do when...More
