Moderately challenging trails going up and down hill. Has beautiful foliage and boulder formations. Parking can be difficult on weekends. Very conveniently located for Huntsville and Madison residents.

Love Rainbow Mountain Trails. Balance Rock is a short walk from beginning of trail and is definitely a site to see. Trails are well maintained and it’s a pretty brisk walk if you do the whole trail. Fall is perfect time to walk the trails!...More

These trails in Madison - I guess the highest point in the city limits - are a really nice walk. You can make them nice and easy. Very good views both east toward Huntsville and the rocket or west overlooking Madison.

This is a nice, quick hike to get your legs moving and get outdoors. Trail traffic is light to moderate. There are no sweeping views or significant streams but the woods are lovely.

The trail is easy to get to, but short and few people know about it, so it is rarely busy. The hike is easy and interesting.

Not usually very busy, but beautiful area. Not very developed and no 'amenities' (bathrooms, shelters), but worth an afternoon.
