Been to this market as it was clubbed with visit to Anjuna beach. The market is just along the beach and too spread to take your full day if you plan to shop. For more clarity this bazaar is only known as "Wednesday market".The stuff available is mostly the same as available in rest of goa but 20% stuff is really worth... Very worthy to check if you visited Goa, but please bargain "very hard". If you are a Chinese, please check taobao before shopping...the best value is scarfs. Most of them you can bargain for 400 to 500 rs for one. If you go there later 4pm, try to go some quiet conners, you may find some cheaper around 100 to... More

Make no mistake, it might seem highly commercialized today, but it's still the original. Look a bit deeper, and you'll see it easily. The odd fiery orange modified-bullet urban cruiser parked under a coconut tree, 'For Sale' the cardboard scrawl says. The odd 65-year-old hippies, the original Flower Power generation. 1968 : a handful of beatniks travel overland, W Europe... More

Not much to offer here that you can't pick up from any of the other 1000s of market stalls around Goa. It was an experience though, be ready to negotiate hard because the market stall owners know how to play the game, if you are not on top of your bargaining game you will be seen off.

I had heard a lot about this market from friends. However, there is nothing new you'll get there which you can get in your local market where you are staying esp close to beach. Also the prices are deliberately double so bargain hard. Shamelessly quote 1/3 and with patience you'll get it. Avoid tibetian and rajasthani stuff as grossely over... More

An amazing range of local crafts just a short taxi ride from Calangute (Baga). Good to practice bartering skills as all the prices start at least double what they cost away from the tourist market. A cheap TukTuk ride back to Baga makes the trip memorable.

Famous touristy market, if buying barter and barter firmly, go later in day for a better price. We went to beach after which was nice enough but shack, Curlies was overrated, not best we been to, too big and too impersonal
