Good resort near the beach. Yoga classes with really good teacher. Did my first yoga ever here. Small restaurant with good breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, with ac and hot water. A bit pricy, but not too bad.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have few dogs that are charming and one cat that seems to have a hangover of a lifetime going. Dogs might bark at night, but they are super friendly (and a bit annoying according to my wife).

I stayed here for 3 nights, I had issues with my flights due to airline delays which I kept Anand updated about however when I arrived my room had been given to someone else so I had to stay somewhere down the road, which wasn't very pleasant (I also looked it up and it was much cheaper than what I'd paid for Anand) speaking to other guests and most others had experienced this as well, so maybe have a back up place incase thus happens to you. The huts a spacious and clean, it's a minutes walk from the beach but being a little bit back you avoid the noise from party go-ers however the dogs at Anand did bark a lot through the night whilst I was staying so if this is something that bothers you might be better to go elsewhere. If you are an advanced or dynamic yoga practioner I would say there are better places to go, I only had three of the teachers but the classes were slow and didn't flow, one taught the entire class through demo and was just saying the names of poses in English instead of guiding into the pose - she was covering though so not entirely sure she was trained :/

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the village green cafe is lovely, Zoe is really friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing!

Dropped in most mornings when in Palolem for the 8am class. Shala nice and breezy and classes sizes generally small @ 6 people which was nice, all VERY mixed ability so the teachers adapted accordingly. Nice teachers, mainly had Kelly. Less "flowy" and more techy than I'm used to, but all good.
It's the best classes in Palolem, and they've just opened their cafe - The Village Green - and the menu looks spot on for vegan diets..will try that out before I leave.

Prices are the same everywhere,500INR (£5) which is better than London!

Thanks everyone, good luck with the rest of the season.

i ended up staying at Anand much longer than i had originally planned because i loved it so much. the food was delicious (and yet healthy!) the rooms were lovely and clean and just 2 minutes from the beach. the yoga shalas were beautiful and surrounded by greenery and the yoga classes were so varied, including pranayama and meditation, as well as many different types of yoga, and some of the best teaching i've ever experienced. the staff are teachers are all so friendly and helpful. cannot recommend enough! left feeling so restored and healthy.

The huts at Anand are spacious, comfortable and clean with a lovely hot shower, staff are friendly and helpful with great breakfasts. The Hatha yoga class I attended was perfect - relaxed, informal and very enjoyable. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Yoga village is a calm and quiet place outside all the bars and noice in palolem but still close to everything. Stayed 2 nights and the rooms are clean, comfy beds, free water and beautiful surroundings. The only minus is that the reception are closing nighttime and it's hard to find staff if you check out early morning to leave the key or if you wanna get the key at night. Totally nice stay and I didn't wanna leave my room with ac and fan and hot shower.

Whilst the studio itself is spacious and airy filled with equipment off the beaten track, today I have had the worst yin session due to simultaneous building works- definitely not relaxing! There was ongoing drilling and the breeze whilst cooling was blowing dust continuously through my practice and during breathing techniques I have inhaled so much dust my eyes now are sore!
The teacher was great and very attentive however the equipment is understandably riddled with dust so you also breathe that in too
500RP not well spent
Perhaps they could stop the building works whilst running the yoga class for an hour?!
If not, I would recommend cheaper and more quiet and relaxing classes

I visited Anand Yoga Village with my mom in early March 2019 for 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I wish we could have stayed longer and recommend following the Yoga Village's suggestion of a minimum 7 night stay.

The quality of the yoga teaching was excellent with thoughtful and experienced teachers. The weekly itinerary of classes also included some unique activities, including a Tibetan Sound Bath meditation and a class on using essential oils to target the chakras.

I also appreciated the village's focus on meeting the needs of each student. On the day we arrived, Kelly (one of the teachers and co-owner of the centre) came to ask us what we hoped to get after our stay so the centre could help us make the most of our visit. I told her we had some injuries and she advised all of the teachers, so they provided modifications for us in every class and checked in on how we were doing without our having to ask.

As for the other aspects of the experience - The accommodation was basic, but clean. There was healthy and delicious food. In addition, the village is just one minute from beautiful Palolem beach. Jay, Kelly and other staff were all very helpful and organized some fun outings for the students to help us get to know the area and see other beaches.

I highly recommend this yoga centre for anyone looking for a deeply restful and relaxing holiday.
