Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Melaka Menara Taming Sari (Taming Sari Tower) was officially opened to the public on 18 April 2008 and is the first and only gyro tower in Malaysia so far. Standing 110 meters tall, its revolving structure offers a 360-degree panoramic view (in seven minutes) of the city. Located in the popular Bandar Hilir neighborhood on Jalan Merdeka, just a three-minute walk from the Mahkota Parade shopping complex and Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, the tower takes its name from the taming Keris Sari, a mythical weapon said to possess mystical powers belonging to the legendary Malay warrior, Hang Tuah. The design of the structure also follows the shape of the keris, with the peak of the tower resembling the hilt.

Views are really cool and it's inexpensive to go, so I'd say worth a visit, especially if you have kids! We were given a free water bottle with admission when we bought at the site as well. Ride takes about 5-7 minutes so line goes fairly quickly.

Came on the verge of mid-Dec weekend (17th Dec 2021), but the queue is manageable. everything, from the moment we arrived to taking numbers to buy tickets until touch down, took less than an hour.

We walked from Hatten, took a good 10 minutes

Menara Taming Sari is suitable for everyone because the tower will turn slowly and won't feel dizzy. You can see the the whole historic city, Malacca. Its full with historical building and sea. IT look more beatiful from the top.

It is a great place if you want a high vantage view of the Melaka. However, the entrance of the Menara is terrible and require some uplift and maintenance. It looked so rundown. When the entrance is not being maintained, then it begs the question of how well is the maintenance of the tower which is a revolving tower that goes up and down. It has a history of getting stucked. Spend the money and do the necessary maintenance and improve the aesthetics of the place.

Don't miss to visit Taming Sari Tower when in Malacca. A tower with 80 meters high has 360 degree panorama of rotate. For about 10 minutes we will see the beauty of Melaka from the top of this tower. Too short the time but quite worth to visit. There is an Air Condition in the overdeck so we feel comfortable. Entrance fee is RM 23

Admission charges for Adult RM20 & Children RM10, really not worth it - too expensive for Malaysian. Plus not enough parking for tourists

It cost us RM 20.00 each for this attraction which took us up to the height of 80 meters; the observation deck rotated for about 7 minutes before descending back to ground. From the top, we managed to get a good bird eye view of the surrounding area.

Named after the Keris /Malay Dagger of the legendary Laksamana Hang Tuah; the Menara Taming Sari Tower stands tall at 110 meters; and is best to be visited in the late evening to catch a nice Sunset view over the Straits of Malacca.

It was definitely fun and worth trying : )

TIPS.
Go in the late evening; to catch the sun set.

Nice view. I’ve already been here twice, during day and night. Strongly suggest going at night time. But, entrance fee will be higher. During daylight, it is RM10 (if you have MyKad). During night, the entrance fee is RM15 (If you have MyKad).

Good experience. Second times taking this ride, during our 2008 and 2013 trips.
It was nice to see Melaka town city and surroundings from up above with 360 degree viewing.

Melaka town had changed a lot comparing 2008 view.
It is not a frightening ride as it rises, rotates and descends slowly to give you time to take in the views and take photographs.

Reasonable price and well worth.
