Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a great idea to place a massive submarine – almost in the middle of nowhere – to act as a magnet for other tourist sites in Maleka. However, the tourists haven't really come, which is a shame as the submarine, an ex French 67 metre vessel, (with 22 metres width and 18m depth) which saw operational service until 2004, is huge and makes a stunning first impression.

You can walk through about half of the top level and really have a sense of the claustrophobic condition the submariners endured. The bunks and personal space is so tiny, it was hard to imagine how the crew of 50 survived for so long in such a confined space.

I would have liked to be able to wander the entire length and also to have seen what was on the lower deck – so much more could be shown. It is also a shame that the attraction remains almost an island.

Apart from a party of school children, there were few tourists – it was interesting.

As its 700m from the main roads, the Grab cabs didn't want to know for a return journey, but if you walk to big streets, then its fine.

I would rate 5 for my boy experience, able to see and touch the real submarine is worth the visit for children. Other than that, the submarine is rusted, equipment inside also have tare (probably vandalism)

You can just ignore so called "officer" who ask you to follow the line at entrance, they actually photo booth agent who selling the photos.
I could be wrong if there is day with big crowd, but I doubt it will happen at this place.

Inside submarine the walkway is narrow, so do expect some "traffic", and not quite convenient for disable ya.

Quite hard to get to but I think its worth it. There is an entry fee. The submarine is properly maintained and to my amazement, there's air conditioning inside the submarine. There are also 2 fighter jets in this compound.

Good place to spend some half an hour if you happen to be in Klebang or a real navy enthusiast.

Kids will have a great time exploring the submarine and the two fighter jets on display.

We visited on a weekday and were the only people there - maybe it gets a bit more lively during the weekend. That said, it was okay

Fascinating. Kids of all ages will love it!

Note that on Friday it is closed 12:00 - 14:45. Trip Advisor won’t let me suggest edits, if someone else can, please do so!

If you take a Grab you may need to grab a drink from the vending machine and wait a bit. It’s in the middle of nowhere, and no bus.

The location is rather remote. Plan was to 'conquer' Pantai Klebang and the Museum together as they are close. Left at about 9am Managed to get a Grab to Pantai Klebang. Spent about 1/2 hr and headed to Submarine Museum which was about 20-25 minutes away by foot. Thank god for Google maps! There is a real submarine, which you can enter and 2 fighter planes on show. I loved exploring the interior. It is eye opening and those with curious little kids and may want to come by to give them a taste of what it's like inside. For those of us from Asia , its a rare opportunity. Only downside is that only attraction is really the submarine. BE warned: Getting there I managed to get a cab but Grab was unavailable on the return about 10.30 -11am. I even tried walking to the main road to no avail. Kept trying for almost half hour. Advice is to arrange for a taxi to wait while you tour inside. I was so lucky that while I was waiting on the road in the blazing sun the lady from the souvenir shop spotted me and offered me a ride! Thank you Su!

This museum is unique and interesting as visitors are allowed to enter a real submarine to feel the experience of a submarine crew. Good experience for first time visitors. But not much is exhibited. 30 minutes are enough for this attraction.
