We timed out visit just in time for a tour by a wonderfully informative lady who guided us through a historical masterpiece of ( well to do) family living. The building is beautifully preserved for the architectural geeks out there.

The tour of the Baba and Nyonya home museum, were conducted in a very lively and story like manner by the tour guide by the name of Kamal. It is highly recommended to have the tour if you are first time visitor.

It's not a very big place but it's full of interesting facts about the lifestyle of Baba and Nyonya. Tour guide is a very nice lady who shares lots of information and yet very fun. Likes to joke around and interact with the audience. A must-visit when you are in Melaka. Join the tour at 10.30am and 2pm! Thanks Emily... More

Missed the earlier guided tour when arrived. Which I think is best to join to understand better. Especially when we overheard the guide from the tour telling about the "ancient CCTV" peep hole to his guided members. Can't take much pictures though. Unlike the same museum from Penang. But the crowd here is very much better and less commercial then... More

The ticket cost RM16 per person, tour available at certain time. Good for joining the tour as the staff there provide useful information in understanding the Baba and Nyonya culture.

Good to have a guidebook to give information about the rooms. Also good to contribute to the preservation of such an historic home.

This is a small museum that gives a great insight to the Malay and Chinese that formed a new great mix here in Melaka. Emily our tour guide was fantastic, she was funny, smart and very lively. I would recommend this tour with Emily to anyone. Her English was superb. Please check the times of the museum as we just... More
