The fort ruins themselves are very crowded, and not that easy to take a nice picture off with all of the people around. But what does improve this area is the mass of information given to you - we easily spent a good 15 minutes...More

Glad that it is still well maintained. Go to the history museum at The Stadthuys to understand a little more of the history. Has a miniature setup of the place around St. Paul's Hill during the different era.

Historic place worth a visit but avoid during holiday as it becomes crowded. Best time to visit during afternoon just before the sunsets. you can start at the St.Paul ruins and end here or vice versa.

Stopped by for 5 mins while on the way to St Pauls church atop the little hill. This is a former Portuguese fortress but only a bit of it remains now---the Porta de Santiago, a small gate house.
