A must stop when learning about the Civil Rights movement

The design of the memorial is very nice and interesting. The location is convenient to get to on foot (from the capital, archives, etc.)

Visiting the memorial was a very important part of our American History and Civil Rights tour. The exhibit inside the center is very beautifully and sensitively curated, informative, and moving. Additionally, watching the film gave us the essential context in which to experience the outdoor memorial in a more deep and meaningful way. Don't miss this.

If you leave this memorial and don't feel something, you have no soul my friend. It is a quick but really powerful tour that memorializes the heroes of the civil rights movement that lost there lives. It's beautiful, meaningful, educational and powerful. I highly recommend.

The Civil Rights Memorial Center is very well done and very moving, The somber exhibits depict in brief forty representative martyrs - black and white - who died (were killed) during the Civil Rights era. The memorial is very well worth your time to visit.

It’s small, simple and moving. Highly recommended. And I'm not a liberal. Don't forget to see the fountain.

We arrived as a party of school children entered. They let us go through first - we saw the film which was excellent and the rest of the exhibition. Well worth a visit - the memorial outside is beautiful. The wall on which you type your name great fun but poignant - the children loved it.

This was one of our last stops on our 2 week tour to visit and pay respects to the civil rights museums in the South. Today, more than ever we need to be reminded of our history, the bigotry, hatred and fear and murder committed to so many. That being said, The Southern Poverty Law Center's exhibits and Memorial are... More

Only $2 to visit this centre - a bargain when you consider how important the stories and history it contains. It's only small but the 15 minute film is very moving and informative. Modern, quiet and clean this is such an important centre. Well worth a visit.
