The the drought, the lake was down over 20 feet and hence not nearly as picture perfect as you see on their website. Also the low water level made it much easier to play. I think it is worth playing - they have a PGA tourney here when the British Open is on so it must be good, just we... More

Played the links twice and the lake course once during my stay. Both courses are fantastic and rated in the top 10 public courses in the state. Only odd thing was the lake on the links course was dry due to some EPA water quality issues.

Played the Links course in Sept 2016 and found it to be one of the most scenic golf courses I have ever played. The price was fair for the quality of the course. My only complaint was the condition of the greens. While they putted exceptionally well, it was disappointing to see how many ball marks were on the green.... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the menu at the Clubhouse. The salads, rubes, and chicken sandwiches were all great. They even gave us a complementary bbq rib each as they were making them for an outside function. Super friendly staff. Played there twice, once on the par 3 course and the next day on the Lake course. Fun and... More

Our second trip to Grand National - last year played Lakes, this year Links. Both are terrific golf venues. Links is tougher of two tracks. Many more uphill holes, with small elevated greens. Many forced carries and lots of narrow fairways. Was thrilled get Hole in one on 3rd hole, to be followed by step-son's double eagle 11 holes later.... More

Am a RTJ trail member, so I value the program and courses, and made a stop here part of a weekend getaway. The Grand National was disappointing though. To note: 2:50 to play the front nine on the Links (Saturday), hackers everywhere, dried up lakes with dead stumps spoiled what was once a beautiful scene, several greens were not blown... More

I play golf here three times per week. There are three eighteen hole courses . The Lake Course , The Links Course , and a very challenging par three course . All courses are well maintained. Good breakfast and lunch menue at reasonable prices. The staff is very courteous. Most are Auburn college students , with the exception of the... More

Played the Links, and I am still not sure why it is called that. No ocean, not a lot of undulation, and tree lined. Anyway, it was in good condition, but play was slow due to cart path only. I would not play this course again if it was cart part- too long, and too slow. I believe people come... More

The Grand National Lakes course was our first RTJ golf experience. We will play this course again next time we are in town! The grounds were immaculate. The aroma of the gardinias and magnolias was exquisite. The perfect setting for a challenging round of golf. Great service at the 19th hole.

First time to play the RTJ courses in Opelika. Definitely worth the trip. Lake course is a stop on the PGA tour, Barbasol tournament. If you want to experience a PGA course, give this one a shot. Links course is challenging as well. Fun lay out that will test you. If you are a golfer, put both of these courses... More
