Did a thanksgiving trip and had beautiful weather of 75 f. Flew from NYC to Atlanta and easy drive to the resort. pick up up one hour and tee off at noon. Fine course and 10 holes on the lake. Stayed at the marriott which was perfect and played the lakes next morning and short course in the afternoon. Some... More

This stop on the RTJ has two very good golf courses, a great practice area, and wonderful staff. We attended a couples tournament, and the has a great experience. The links course is nice (though not a true links style course). But the "Lake Course" is the gem. They now play a PGA tour event on this course. I'll definitely... More

I just started playing golf this year but have already learned to love the RTJ courses. The links and lakes courses at Grand National are both beautiful courses. They are extremely well maintained. The workers on the course have all been very friendly as well as those in the clubhouse and bar. Since we are local, we have taken advantage... More

The one time Crown Jewel of the RTR Gof Trail courses did not play Grand. Not sure if the course is suffering from too much play or not enough care. We had a range of golf ability in our groups and it was unanimous that this course was not set up for the average golfer. Very taxing physically. The RTR... More

My wife and I just played our first Robert Trent Jones Trail course. In Opelika, Grand National is a true pleasure just to be on. Immaculate fairways that have left to right and back again construction, pure white sand bunkers, and greens that stimp about 12-13. You MUST be on the downside of the pin, or three and four putts... I have played many different golf courses and am always surprised at how well you are treated by the staff on the Robert Trent Jones trail. The courses are in great condition and a pleasure to play.

Two great 18 hole courses at very reasonable prices, especially for active and retired military. One of the courses is good enough to host a PGA tournament this month (July 2015). There's also an 18 hole executive course and a bar and restaurant to enjoy with your friends.

What an amazing place to play golf. Take an amazing weekend of Auburn football and golf and you have a winning combination. This course plays long, so bring your best game.

The Lakes is a very scenic course with a lot of views of the water. The slope and rating are not quite as high as the Links course. The links course is not your typical links course. It is hillier than the Lakes course. Both are a treat to play and certainly can test your game. The staff is very... More
