Located in a large building on the edge of Nanjing road in Shanghai, once you enter Madame Tussauds you'll see celebrities past and present, dead or alive and since this one is in China you'll see celerities from China as well as America and Britain. You'll see superheroes from the Avengers, as well as Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, Barrack Obama, Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwazanegar and many faces you'l recognise and a few you won't. It will take some time to explore the full thing so feel free to take your time, when I visited there was barely anyone there so I could take my time exploring and taking photos with the statues. The waxworks are incredibly life like, just like they are in London, from their skin, to their eyes, their hair and even height (I learned that Tom Cruise is smaller than me). At the end of the trip you'll find a gift shop and inside you can find many tiny Oscar awards so if you want to act like a famous actor feel free to buy one, who knows you might find yourself as a waxwork inside Madame Tussauds someday.

It was a hot Friday afternoon so I decided to drop by with my family. The ground floor where we bought our tickets were packed. Had a rather enjoyable time especially my kids.

If you have some spare time and if it's a rainy and cold day, this would be a good place to spend a few hours. A bit pricey and the staff that served us at the counter spoke very little English. We found it difficult to understand her explanation on the family package. This was not a huge display but there were enough interactive exhibits that we spent about 3 hours going around the place. The waxworks were a mix of international and local figurines.

This museum is very impressive. Very similar to others around the world but it does seem as though this one is more engaging and interactive. Around 180RMB for an adult.
