The Huangpu River is large enough not to be dwarfed by some of Asia's largest buildings. In fact, it becomes the stage upon which the nightly building light shows are reflected in the water, adding to the experience. Highly recommend a walk along The Bund when the weather is ok. Light shows stop by 10.00pm

We visited both during the day and night and I have to admit it's pretty spectacular at night with all the lights on. The walk is great on the promenade but also pretty annoying now with everyone carrying a selfie stick around checking themselves constantly! Do yourself a favour and check the view!!!

I would absolutely do a river tour in Shanghai. It really gives you an up close feel to the city and you can just see how Shanghai is growing and prospering.

We enjoyed seeing a lot of the Huangpu during our visit. We stayed in Pudong so made full use of the frequent and cheap ferries across to the Bund, a trip taking only a few minutes. A memorable highlight was the night time one hour cruise. Departing from Shiliupu Marina the ornate ship made its way slowly through the dazzling... More

One of the best river side development. This river divides the two main areas of Shanghai and has regular ferry service. Skyscrapers on both side and a promenade development on other the view is amazing

Located in the most prosperous place, Huang pu River is one of the representative symbols in Shanghai. We are supposed have a look of the Huang pu river and some famous buildings if we go to Shanghai city. Drinking a special beverage and sitting in the bank of the Huang pu River, the vast river and fantastic view came into... More

Cruising the Huangpu River is well worth the ride and provides views not normally possible by merely walking along the Bund or the Pudong Riverside Promenade. At night from the river, Shanghai comes alive with a light show among the world's best.
