Taking a river cruise on the Huangpu River great way to experience The Bund - wether its during the day or at night, both experiences are well worth your time. Most cruises are about 1 hour.

Daytime river walk is very enjoyable...colonial buildings on one side of river, modern city on the other. River cruise is awesome at night. Better to get there early as boat fills quickly. Top deck provides wonderful 360 degree views of the building light shows...truly memorable.

The cruise up the Huangpu River is well worth it. Get a seat up the front as you will have an uninterrupted view of the buildings as the light show on the buildings changes. It is fabulous, and better than the Hong Kong harbour.

We took the night cruise from the Shiliupu wharf after dinner. It was okay - the view was amazing but after a while I guess everyone just came down to the first level to sit and enjoy the view rather than be out in the...More
