The wall itself is sort-of-OK. It is an old city wall - nothing special. However, head down the side street a few metres and there is an entry way through a wall. Here you can climb to the top of the wall for the obligatory photo, but it is also the entrance to the pavilion. Inside the pavilion is a temple, a small museum and a collection of old musical instruments. We were very lucky, just the two of us in the room when a young lady smiled at us and sat down at one of the instruments. A free 5-minute concert! Not saying you will also get the added bonus, but the temple is well worth spending half-an-hour or so.

the upstairs has a really cool temple and when you look back through the red doors, it's quite scenic. felt like old China. downstairs, inside is a small space and i would love to have read the panels but they were all in Chinese. i did stumble upon a calligraphy class in session and that was cool. also, a nice clean western toilet is inside. bonus!
