Located by the natural history museum. It's a medium sized park with many different statues and sculptures. It's a great photo opportunity and nice to just walk and think. Really well maintained. But stay off the grass!

Sculptures are more comedic and child-like, but is made up with a very well kept park, with guards blowing their whistle at you if you attempt to step on the grass to take a picture with the sculptures. A really nice space to spend a sunny afternoon, even if the sculptures aren't mind provoking.

I went to the park with no expectations - just interested to see what was there. Well, it brought a smile to my face. There are some beautiful pieces of art, many quirky and irreverent, others pieces of art, others challenging. I went there thinking 15 minutes. It is worth an hour. The park is easily accessible from a couple... More

The Jing’an Sculpture Park is sited on sprawling landscaped grounds offering large and small outdoor spaces for sculptural expression of various scale. Paved walkways and shady trees help provide some separation between the displays, with colourful flower beds and fountains lending a little softness to some of the edgy works in steel and stone. In the evening the sculptures are... More

So many sculptures! Great FREE park with many sculptures, and a great walking path. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and highly recommend it.

An amazing place to visit. There are so many sculptures to see and they were all a work of art. Next to the History Museum which is also incredible. It's a must on any itinerary for Shanghai.

This lovely park nestled into the urban landscape is well maintained and definitely worth a wonder through if you are in the 'hood. Take a break from the busy sidewalks and streets and enjoy a few moments of solitude looking at a sculpture or ponder deep thoughts while walking around the pond.

As the name depicts, this Park in Jing'an district is a showcase of sculptures in the open air. Take a stroll in this moderately sized park to appreciate some of the productions of talented artists. While I was there, there was an exhibition of the Life Stage Series by the famous Taiwan sculptor Chu Ming which shows sculptures of people... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
