The family owned and operated natural hot springs, which allow only a limited number of guests each day, provide a private, relaxing oasis during your vacation. There are five pools, one with a cascading waterfall, which reach up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no better way to unwind after a long day than by visiting the hot springs and treating your body to its naturally replenishing effects. When taking a break from the soothing hot springs, you can dine in the authentic, home-style Costa Rican restaurant.

Didn’t really know what to expect, but it was quite surreal siting in hot water drinking excellent cocktails at night in the middle of the rain forest. Could have had the option to do the buffet dinner but declined. Recommended. You feel like a million...More

Gorgeous space, multiple pools in a jungle setting; various bars serving cocktails so you can sip while you soak. Clean dressing rooms; the entire place uncrowded during shoulder season. Ten toes up, definitely recommend.

Stunningly beautiful setting with spacious pools and sitting areas. Immersing the body in the geothermal pools after a long day, enjoying a drink - and perhaps the buffet at the restaurant - is a beautiful way of giving yourself a break and giving over to...More

The pools at Ecotermales are a great place relax! The gardens that surround the pools give the sensation of being in the jungle probably more so at night. There is a bar that offers cold beers and tasty cocktails. Food is also available but you...More

This place was amazing. They have different pools/ thermal rivers. And they very In temperature. We would stay in the warmest one. Than dip into the coldest one. We did this for 2 hrs. Our skin felt completely renewed after that. We went at night...More

Great, super relaxing thermal spa. We had some appetizers at the restaurant that were pretty good, then enjoyed the thermal pools & some really good drinks. We went in the evening, after dark and it was sooooo relaxing! Highly recommend!

I've been to the Blue Lagoon in Iceland twice and loved it, but that was the only hot spring I've visited, until now. Whereas the Blue Lagoon is a major tourist attraction in Iceland, there are several hot springs in Arenal so you're pretty much...More

We ended a day of hiking at Ecotermales. I really wish, like Tabacon, the pools got hotter as you go uphill. Not the case. Unfortunately, the drinks were pretty lame (a mojito with a few mint leaves thrown in, rum and some Sprite - c'mon,...More

The lockers weren't very big, but you may have just enough room. My 2 sons & I shared one, but all we had were the clothes we wore and a small backpack if I remember right. My wife had her own locker. The purse will fit for... More

My friend and I went in the evening and it was quite busy but there were some kids as well. I think it is fine, but I would say that it is likely much much busier in the evening from what I hear. Hope that helps.

They are allowed but like I said in my review, it's a place for adults. There are plenty of spots to check out. Some cater to a family atmosphere. This spot is just pools and a bar. Don't let the little one screw up someone... More
