Really good cave tour with two young kids, 7 and 10. Was worried how the 7 year old would take it and she baulked at the first tight squeeze, but after that she did all of the tricky bits (she was especially pleased to find...More

We did just about every touristy thing you can think of in La Fortuna and this was probably the highlight of our trip! It was an easy hour drive to the Venado Caves. We emailed ahead of time and told them we wanted a 9am...More

I was hesitant to do this with my husband and 12-year old son, but it was one of the best things we did in Costa Rica. Wasn't claustrophobic at all - and had a blast. Felt like an adventurer (and I'm a 50 year old...More

I’ve been to caves before where you walk and take photos of interesting formations. This is not that experience. At Venado Caves, you get to explore as if you were the first one going through the cave system. You will be walking through a stream...More

Visiting the Venado caves was great! Henry, our guide, was very knowledgeable and pointed out really interesting information through the tour. Definitely not for people who have claustrophobia, unfortunately for them because it is so exciting to go through the smaller tunnels and under the...More

We went today with a 4 and 6 year old and it was perfect. The kids fiund it less scary then we did. Our guide was super helpfull with our youngest one. So it is a bit challenging, but it is so worth it! Super cool thing to do
