Hubby and I were on a Group Tour (Caravan) an we stopped here for a several hour tour. We took the 2 mile trail and had a nature guide. Our Guide Augustine was very good. He stopped at several places, and pointed out animal sounds, birds, and even an eyelash viper snake! If we would have just walked the bridges... More

Our guide took the time to point out everything of interest. Some people just raced past towards the bridges – these are quite high in places and a bit shaky but are enclosed so you don't feel too scared!

This place was cool but it seemed so "man made." I went with my parents so I couldn't go on any strenuous hikes and I'm sure there are more natural hanging bridge areas. I wanted to feel like I was more in nature than I did. Not sure if that makes sense but I was expecting a bit more.

Among many options there, we chose to do hanging bridges one afternoon. It was great. A lot of long and very long hanging bridges, beautiful park and wasn't crowded at all. $26 per person. We drove there ourselves. Very enjoyable, light hiking level.

Mainor (our guide) was amazing. We appreciated his passion and knowledge. The nature preserve is beautiful and we learned so much about Costa Rica. Mainor was sure to capture each moment and have every person look through his camera lens at the vipers, tarantula, monkeys and sloth. The paths are well maintained and the bridges are a fun experience. The... More

Great hike through the rainforest, beautiful waterfalls and stunning views. This is a definite must do while in Arenal. I have to say the end of the hike is somewhat challenging as it was a steep up hill climb. I also recommend getting a guide as they know where to find the animals.

We took a tour with Ecoterra. To appreciate the complexity of the fauna, and to locate certain wild life (ie. Eyelash Viper sleeping under a tree trunk) it is highly recommended to use a trained guide. Two (or 2.5) hours was perfect. Lots of up and down. The bridges swing a bit, but after a few crossings you get the... More

Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges is a beautiful, easily accessible nature preserve. Well maintained paths and hanging bridges guide you through the cloud forest filled with birds and animals. Even without a guide I spotted a motmot and beautiful turquoise tail lizard. The vegetation is tropical, one has the feeling of being in a jungle, yet it is so easily accessible at... More

I went to the hanging bridges with my mom while on our 3 day excursion to La Fortuna and we had a pretty good time! We went with a guide on a tour - and thank goodness we did because we saw 2 sloths, several humming birds, a teranchula and several other animals with the scope of the guide. I'm... More

Spent a couple of peaceful hours here walking the dense, tropical (paved) pathways in the park; and walking across many hanging bridges to view lovely views below including waterfalls. It was cloudy and misty, so we couldn't see the volcano. The trails encompass several miles of walking, so you can get a good leg workout! Most of the wildlife was... More
