This church sits right across the main square of Liberia. It's not a fancy church, but the little crosses in the glassless windows makes it unique.

White, original in shape and design, but not so much interesting as the park in front. Inside the church it looks a bit like in a gym, but I guess it is just my European view. Probably the must see in Liberia because there is...More

This church is different from the others in Central America but still interesting. It's located next to the central park.

This church is adjacent to the city center park. Very nice to walk around and inside. Highly recommend taking a few minutes to give a quick look. Beautiful architecture.

Beautiful inside and out, a gem in the center of the city . A must see if you have a few minutes to spare when in town.

We walked 850 meters up Central Avenue from our Hotel El Bramadero. The architecture of the modern facade is striking with its slender clock tower to its side. The bland entry opens to a spacious hall bordered with wall columns that form into rafters, that...More

We took our young son to the town square and then went to the church. We wanted him to see what a typical Spanish style square was like, and it did not disappoint! The church dominates the square and it's white walls outside drawn you...More

Since we were going to Liberia for the Fiesta parades, we decided to go to Mass at the Cathedral. We searched everywhere for a schedule and could not find one anywhere on the net. So I decided to post the weekend Mass schedule as of...More

I don't know for sure, but the Ash Wednesday afternoon masses were so well-attended, I would suspect that the church serves a large congregation. For that reason, there probably are several Easter Sunday masses at convenient... More
