They were located right outside our hotel and were accommodating. I would recommend bringing cash (US dollars preferably) as it makes it quicker - however they do have a credit card machine onsite.
Fishing was fun but did inshore. ATV riding - highly recommend. They...More

I was interested only in fishing and I discussed the prices for going out on the different size boats with the two men who hung out day and night on the road just outside the entrance (opposite the beach) at the Flamingo Beach Resort. They first quoted a price of $350 for four hours of fishing on a 24' boat. That was the first evening of my nine night stay. Over the course of the next eight days, we had further discussions. They came down to $300.
By contrast, I checked with the concierge, Isella, in the hotel for availability of fishing and costs. The best she could arrange was $450 on a small boat with an outboard motor. So, even though I took seriously the warning of the hotel to avoid dealing with vendors outside the wall, I went ahead with those men. It was a great mistake.
For my part, I believe that I erred in not realizing that all fishing in that area is in open seas, done mostly by trolling, as in deep sea fishing. It is not casting with bait or lures, as along the eastern, southern, or Gulf coasts of the U.S. or by flies. The salesmen who bamboozled me kept that fact secret.
