I spent 4 weeks at Intercultura learning Spanish. The school is incredibly professional and warm, which I really appreciated during my solo travels. The admin staff were really helpful, especially when my brain hit a roadblock learning Spanish in my 3rd week (irregular verb overload!). I needed time to process and they guided me through that. The teachers are charismatic... More

We went to Samara for the first two weeks of Jan 2017. My two boys (9&7) took immersion Spanish classes. They were in a small class with friendly and fun teacher who used games to engage the boys in learning. They both noted this as their favorite part of the program. We also took advantage of extra cultural engagement by... More

It was such a pleasure having your family in class and around campus. We're so glad the boys enjoyed their classes and hopefully they learned a lot as well! Let us know if you decide to make the move. It's a wonderul place to live (or at least visit a lot)! More

Loved the language school. You're tested to see what level you're at and then go to classes with the same teacher each day. Some days we actually went out to the beach to have class. There was food there you could buy, they had computers that you could use, and it walked straight out to the beach.

I studied Spanish at Intercultura Samara for six weeks and I absolutely loved it! Classes four hours per day, delicious empanadas & $5 lunch sold outside of the school every day, a beautiful beach, surf schools, and daily dance class with the wonderful Josue! The teachers and administrators here are so helpful. They do a great job of teaching in... More

I spent a week at Intercultura (Samara Language School). When I embarked on my journey to Samara many people asked how much Spanish did I expect to learn in one week. Between the quality lessons, company of other students, and a home stay with a Tico family, I left with the ability for basic communications and a strong foundation to... More

This is the best language school I ever stayed at. The teachers are highly skilled and motivated. The study materials are up to date, fun and interactive. The classes are very intense but you learn a lot. Expect to improve your Spanish significantly in just days. The school building is tidy, clean and cool. It has a private garden practically... More

My 14 year old daughter and I spent two wonderful weeks at Intercultura in Samara, studying Spanish and learning to surf. The facilities at the school were good and the Spanish instructors were patient and engaging. There were small classes with people of comparable ability, with a good mix of grammar and conversation. Tours arranged by the school were well... More

I spent a week at this campus learning Spanish. I would like to thank Laura, the Director of the school, and of her administrative staff, and especially Jeanette, my Spanish instructor. It was an excellent experience that I will never forget. Julie from Wisconsin

I loved the experience. It was the best combination of learning spanish and being on the beach. I also loved to use the homestay option.

My wife and I spent a pleasant week in Samara learning Spanish and enjoying the laid back llife in Costa Rica. The classes were well run with small classes tailored to one's level of comprehension. Meeting like minded people from around the world is also part of the experience. Highly recommended.
