We came here for ziplining. They also offered ATV riding. This was not a zoo (not sure if there's another Monkey Park that is a zoo - I boycott zoos). I liked that they included pick-up and drop-off from our hotel (20 minute drive). We went at the end of the dry season (May), so the trees were looking very... More

Ziplining through the trees with the monkeys cheering you on. Amazing! Don't miss the Tarzan swing. Staff was attentive to safety and everyone had fun!

My husband and I spent over an hour there yesterday and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, and they truly love being there. One went out of her way and off the regular path to show us 5 monkeys in the wild, up in a tree. She spent time explaining to us how they live and... More

My wife and I visited this park during our honeymoon. Overall, we felt the experience was ok. Based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, I guess we expected more. Of the 24 exhibits, only 3 had monkeys ("Monkey Park"), and 4 didn't have anything in them. Also, only about 4 exhibits actually had information cards. It looked as though the sanctuary... More

It was great quick trip to see local wildlife! A good time! The animals are being rehabilitated before the go back into the wild. The monkeys are super quick! And a beautiful oscolot!

The people who take care of this may be few, but their hearts are big. I understand the negative reviews, but they are only there because those people haven't met the team behind Monkey Park Sanctuary. Here they take the absolute best care of the animals within their means. Yes, they recognize that more must be done, and they are... More

This was a great lil walk in the park! Very nicely taken care of santuary! We saw monkeys, tucans, beautiful parrots, owls huge crocodile! Soon they will be welcoming baby sloths! The girl there was super friendly and informative about the animals and the area. Seems she loves her work with the animals! And is very involved!!

I took a cab here from Tamarindo, it was about 30 minutes or so. While I applaud the fact that they are a sanctuary for animals that are hurt or ill, I was disappointed by the place itself. There were about 15 cages with birds and animals and the entire park took me 20 minutes to see. If you are... More

We were able to see the wildlife close-up and definitely learned a lot. They have an important job and obviously love the animals and ther park.

It's a bit hard to recommend this as a place to visit but the purpose of the place is a good one- they provide rehabilitation to animals so stopping by is a good way to fund this place. The trails aren't really well maintained and neither are the cages. Definitely overpriced but it is to help the animals so we... More
