This place is heaven! Though you’re have to pay to enter, it is a must see!! I did a tour which included access to the park ($45) and I booked through my hotel. If you can go directly to a booth that has guides, I...More

This beach is pristine. The gray/brown sand, no trash or tourist traps, the foliage, the wildlife. It's as close to you and the beach as was given by God as you're gonna get.

Water is not the clearest but the setting is beautiful along with the surrounding park. Water temperature is very comfortable. Best to wear foot protection from small rocks and shells.

This is a great beach - cool for surfing and sun bathing. Lots of charming stalls and not over-bearing. Great bus service to nearby towns, and right next to the National Park so that you can bathe your feet after your early morning trek. I...More

Our stay at Carlos’ place was awesome. He’s a perfect host and the best surfer teacher we met ???? Definitely recommended! Thank you Charlie for your generosity and for making us feel more locals than tourists.

Loved this area for the lush jungle beach atmosphere. And all the wildlife everywhere. The little titi monkeys are adorable!

Since you are going to be around Arenal and MV you can check out Samara and Carrillo Beach. Pretty low key, nice beach, safe.

Not necessary. As you walk up to the area where you buy tickets, you have already been inundated with tour offers. If you can't find a tour there, you're in the wrong place.
