Facilities here were so much better than I was expecting. The new dorms are comfy and cool, all the sides are open so there is a nice breeze running through. The dorms and bathrooms were both very clean, and all the facilities have a walkway between so you don't get wet (important as we were there in the rainy season!)... More

The facilities and the management have been greatly improved, so you can disregard many of the older reviews. Very clean and well maintained and the large staff is extremely helpful. The food is plentiful and enough for two. There is now potable water. You need a guide - be sure to get one with a good spotting scope. We've flew... More

I had no idea when we went to Corcovado how many amazing animals we would see we went with tour guides & we went to the waterfalls & swam in the afternoon. What an amazing day!

First the good news. The facilities have, compared with what we've heard and read, been vastly improved, all since December 15th. A group called the Association for Integral Development (ADI, supposedly a Osa Penisula community organization) has been awarded a 3-year concession to provide the only sleeping quarters and eating facilities in Corcovado National Park at the Sirena Ranger Station.... Just 2 days beofre we arrived at La Sirena they had opened the new shower and toilet blocks. This renovation has been going on for a long time and the station now looks much better with facilities which are now 100 times better than before. I was prepared to rough it out and so it was a very nice surprise.... More

I am rating this 5 star on the look of the new amenities block! We still had to use the old facilities which were basic but useable! The new toilets and showers look lovely, and are connected to the sleeping platforms so no venturing into the night alone to nip to the loo! The sleeping platform is pretty cool, being... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Sirena Ranger Station to maximize our time to see wildlife in Corcovado National Park. Our guide was Felix with Osa Travel, who I would highly recommend. Very knowledgeable, personable, and is happy to tweak the general itinerary to meet your desires. We saw lots of wildlife, including four kinds of monkeys,... More

If you want to stay the night in the jungle, this is the place. Very primitive but so cool. The boat ride was heavy and rough but worth it.. Only problem: can be crowded (max 70 people) and sleeping is not easy when having a bad "matrass" and 2-3 people snorring...
