I don't even understand how you can review this. The Sirena Ranger station is a government run lodge in the heart of the only old growth costal rainforest that exists in the Pacific America's. There is no competition (and hopefully won't every be.) It's relatively...More

We hiked for 5 hours around the station and saw a great variety of wildlife - tapir, agouti, butterflies, birds, coati, basilisks, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and spider monkeys. Get there early to avoid the "crowds." Mostly flat hikes.

Very pretty location, disgusting loos, far to many people so noisy and unpleasant. Offering only very limited access to the National Park it was very disappointing.

We saw some tapir which is a rare sighting. The jungle is hot and humid. Pack plenty of fluids. Beware of ticks.

Great location, best place to watch wildlife, busy during peak season, the food they offer is rather expensive but it was good(you have to consider that you stay in the middle of the jungle and everything gets delivered a long way by boat). We slept...More
