I went to the SLBC and it was great! It's very easy to get there, and they have a huge sign in the entrance which for me is so important, especially for tourists! The entrance was really cheap which is very good especially for large amounts of people or families. No food or drinks are allowed inside, except water, yet... More

My husband and I went to San Lucas Beach club before catching the ferry. We got to the ferry early and were super hungry and wanted somewhere to sit and enjoy our first few hours in Costa Rica. There is not much to do around the ferry and there are some sketchy looking restaurants and bars, but San Lucas beach... More

It's a nice place, nothing surprising, but I'd suggest you spend your time doing something else. In CR there are so many better things to do than to go to a pool. Explore!

I recently had dinner here with my father. We stayed in Puntarenas for two nights. The first night we decided to eat at the Beach Club. Granted, we visited during the rainy season, so there weren't too many people at the restaurant (which isn't such a bad thing!), but there was a DJ and the waiter service and the food... More

The San Lucas Beach Club is a great place to relax. It is not a 5 star resort, but remember, it is in Puntarenas. If you want a five star resort, you'll need to pay for it and go somewhere else. We paid $4 per person for an all day pass. The pool is large, warm and clean. It's a... More

Close to the cruise ship terminal the San Lucas beach club in Puntarenas has a gorgeous swimming pool, surrounded by deck chairs and several lovely palms. The ocean is right next to it and you can relax on a sun lounger, sipping a drink and watching the waves. Then a refreshing dip in the pool, and back to the sun... More

I don't care it's only 3,200 colones... I'd rather pay triple but the place be nice and clean when I arrive. The pool is filthy and full of mud and grass. Where there used to be grass there are now mud puddles. The drinks are NOT COLD. The food is just plain nasty and the line to buy thus filth... More

Why do they call themselves a beach club when there is no access to the beach? Yes, the employees are nice - no argument there. The young lady selling entrance tickets spared me having to use my broken Spanish because her English was flawless. Want to use American money? No problem. They will do the conversion for you. And, by... More

This place has several different facilities in one location. There is a large pool for all ages along with changing rooms, showers and lockers. A wide variety of snacks and drinks are available pool side. A full service restaurant with excellent food is also on site. Cocktails are served at the bar. All of this is located on the beach...
