This is a GORGEOUS park. Once you finish the well maintained trails, which include waterfalls and beautiful hiking in the clouds of the mountainous location of property, you have option to have Costa Rican Typical lunch in their, "cafe in the sky" with breathtaking views of the jungle. Best meal in costa rica!

You definitely need to 4 x 4 vehicle to get there. No doubt about it. We used Google maps to get there and it got us there with no problem but pay attention to the signage which is a little bit off the road on the left because you will miss it if you are not attending as we did and we had to double back. We have a family of seven ages 8 to 49. We paid $72 for all of us and quite frankly , we would've paid a lot more. We had a beautiful walk in the forest. It was a bit slippery on the way down so definitely were really good hiking shoes or water shoes with tread. I recommend either wearing good hiking sandals or bringing shoes to wear in the water at the bottom. You will want shoes to wear at the waterfalls that can get wet. You will have to cross amazing hanging bridges to get to the falls. Go all the way down and you will not regret it. We had the falls and the pools all to ourselves. Then the return trip is really easy. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for an elderly person, but other than that, I think you would be fine. Some of us said it was our favorite part of our entire vacation and we've been in Costa Rica for two weeks.

We took a day trip here from Manuel Antonio, driving ourselves. It is a solid hour drive, with the last half on unpaved, yet manageable roads. The young lady at reception spoke only spanish, but we managed to pay our entry and for lunch. There were 3 good hikes, about 15-25 minutes each. Gorgeous waterfalls, hanging bridges which like to swing around with 4 people on them. Wear your swimsuit because there are pools deep enough for a dip at both the lower and upper falls. The hike on the other side of the ridge from the big waterfall is lovely also with a couple of picturesque jungle falls. The lunch was delicious. It was a very fun day's adventure.

Lovely day in the Costa Rican countryside with our kids ages 10 and 13. There were three short hiking trails, two of which featured suspension bridges and all of which had waterfalls in which we could swim. After we enjoyed the hikes / walks and swimming for a few hours, we had lunch in the outdoor dining and kitchen area. The Dining options were chicken, fish or vegetarian and all were deliciously prepared. We didn’t see much in terms of animals but did see a gorgeous hummingbird, butterflies and beautiful plants. On the way to the property we also saw vanilla, avocados, orange, plantains and other things growing. This day was the highlight of our trip to the Quepos / Manuel Antonio area.

This was a nice little pit stop to enjoy the suspension bridges & waterfall swimming holes. We hiked all of the trails, but the best part by far was going down to the lower falls! The drive was fine for us (FWD SUV), but I can imagine it would be more difficult had it been raining. We did this before our Villa Vanilla spices tour, which is nearby & also recommended!

Our driver in Quepos recommended we visit Los Campesinos Reserve and it was excellent. It was a beautiful drive into the mountainous countryside and definitely our waterfalls we have seen in Costa Rica so far but the best part was our hike to top of the mountain with our guide Alfonso. Definitely recommend and request Alfonso as your guide!

Very memorable! Took an unguided day trip from Manuel Antonio. Drove a Toyota AWD and wasn’t sure if we would make it all the way with the extremely rough roads crossing small streams, mud trails and roads filled with gigantic potholes. Very narrow road for miles where there’s no way you can have two cars get by. I prayed big time there wouldn’t be a car coming the other way or I got a flat as there’s no cell service to call for help! We survived the drive and yes the waterfall experience was magical. Hanging bridges shook a lot more than the bridges in Monteverde. You get an amazing view of the waterfall from the longer hanging bridge. Definitely go to the smaller waterfall/pool before the bigger waterfall. Bring your swimsuit and soak in the waterfalls. We packed a picnic and ate at the waterfalls. The larger waterfall was so beautiful. You’re surrounded by the giant waterfall and many other smaller waterfalls in a secluded jungle valley. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had the entire fall area for ourselves which made it even more special. I’m guessing no one else wanted to risk the drive in!

I’ve seen tours offered for Los Campesinos Reserve. They are not necessary if you have a 4x4 and a GPS. We drive ourselves, paid the $10 entrance fee. We also paid another $10 for the lunch. They give you a choice of chicken or fish.

This was so much fun. They have very safe and secure hanging bridges. The trails are well maintained. There is an upper trail that takes you to a smaller waterfall. You start at the large hanging bridge. Follow that path around to the other hanging bridge and to the next falls. There is a great pool below the waterfall. You can swim below that fall. The water was refreshing, especially after the hike.

We hiked through the property with the lodges and down below all the falls. You can swim at the bottom falls as well. In total, there were 3 major waterfalls. We only encountered 2 other small groups when we were there. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The drive into this place was on unpaved roads. I assume this deters some less adventurous people to not visit.

The lunch was excellent. We really enjoyed the meal. This was a great way to spend the morning and then went back to our hotel and the beach for the afternoon. I highly recommend visiting Los Campesinos Reserve!

We came here on the recommendation of our hotel in Manuel Antonio and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The road to get here is pretty rough but we had a 4X4 and had no problem. We bought tickets when we arrived. The trails are well marked. There are suspension bridges, swimming under waterfalls, hikes through the rain forest and a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch. We spent a half day here and loved it!

Do not miss this!!! We took a half day trip here and it was the best thing by far we did in CR. The drive was an adventure. It became rough. But it was totally do able. Don’t be discouraged it’s not bad. They took our lunch order when we entered and had it ready for us. We hiked all the trails and swam in the waterfalls. This place is just gorgeous. The food was absolutely unreal delicious. I cannot even begin to explain. True Costa Rican food. I crave it now that I’m back in the states. If you go to CR, definitely go here!!
