We went to Tamae Beach on the weekend. Hundreds of locals were playing a boche ball type game and it was fun to watch. We came here to snorkel, but we found the healthy coral was a little farther out then we felt comfortable snorkeling. So we rented a glass bottom kayak from a vendor set up on the weekend.... More

Nice beach facing Tahiti. The outer reef breaks up the waves making this a great place to snorkel. Walk to the north end of the beach, swim out 100meters and you will find the healthiest corals, clearest water and the most fish.

My wife and I stopped by here in order to take a look as it looked like a locals beach. What a wonderful experience. It had the best swimming in Moorea. It is not a snorkeling spot as far as I could see. Some people mentioned snorkeling, but it's a pretty large beach, so I may be missing something there.... More

We went back to this beach several times. Snorkeling was fun, super clear water, and there were lots of locals having fun. We swam out a little further and saw some great fish while snorkeling. When a family set up their steak frites stand, even better!

The water is crystal-clear all around Moorea. You may see sea urchins, sea cucumbers, damsel fish, Picasso fish and more. Bring your snorkel and fins. Sometimes this beach has a strong current.

This is worth a pit stop to get pictures while driving around the island. Nice park and also visited by locals for picnics. The beach was pretty good and hardly had any people..

This is a perfect place to swim, snorkel and surf. When it breaks right the Temae surf spot is a perfect barrel that is as breathtaking to watch as it is to surf. It's just around the point from Temae beach, so you can swim and snorkel nearby too. The currents can be really strong there, so be prepared to... More

This is adjacent to the Sofitel and a public beach. An easy 5 min bus ride from the ferry terminal if you ask the driver, 300 francs. There's some nice snorkelling and the water is beautiful. A little restaurant up one end. Very enjoyable day

We stayed at a nearby bungalow and had the pleasure of enjoying many days at this beautiful beach. The water is absolutely refreshing and so clear. One of the days we were here, the restroom nearby was closed. This beach is also enjoyed by many locals, which is great because you get to enjoy their stereos playing Tahitian music, if... More
