Great views of the two bays - good spot for photos! Best to go on a clear day. We went on an ATV tour - it's a popular spot!

We saw this while on our ATV tour and it was definitely worth a stop. Beautiful view! There is also a little ice cream shop on the way and the vanilla ice cream is amazing!

Over rated, but still worth seeing. Reasonable views of the two main bays. Don't need a 4x4 to get up, but the mosquitos are hungry up there! It can be quite damp there even when it is dry at the coast so take an umbrella and decent footwear. There is an old temple on the way down but to get... More

We went up for a sunset drink and dinner. The view was terrific and we both really enjoyed the fondue. But it's a long drive (30+ minutes) from the city center.

Took a cab ride there while waiting for our flight (checked our bags in to MOZ airport and took a cab to the Lookout- took some pics and went back to the airport- cost 8000XPF round trip). Nice space for great pictures and on the way back (to airport) there is a nice ice cream store to stop by.. easy... More

Accessable by almost any vehicle, this lookout provides fantastic views of Cook and Opunohu Bays. Its refreshingly shaded and cool however, mosquito repellant is advisable and make sure you take water with you. there is also a small Marae about half way up the approach road.

We were anchored out in the bay and had some stunning views of the Island, and took some great photos , our plans were to take the tender ashore and go tripping by local transport, Wow, the cost of that out Wade the excitement of a tour, it was a rickety old bus, at "50 us" each! for a 3... More

While it is difficult to drive up there, the sight is very nice. I am used to brown hills since i live in California, USA so to see so much green lush growth, it is fantastic.

We hiked the 3 Pines trail (2hours, easy) through the rain forest. Beware of mosquitoes : we hiked with long trousers and mosquito repellent! The view on the 2 bays is really nice. Bring 1 liter of water per person because even though it is under the shade, it is really hot and humid, and you have to climb a... More
