The most well known of Atiu's limestone caves, it is named for the Kopeka birds that build nests in between the stalactites of the cavern. These birds navigate through the dark caves, guided by the echoes of their clicking sounds.

We did a great tour with our guide Marshall who told us about the tiny Kopeka bird who lives in the cave and then took us down for an amazing candle lit swim in a cave. A surreal experience!

Cave Tour was Great, Marshall is a fantastic Guide And even Provided proper shoes for me! Do Not miss the tumulu in the Bush pub After.

An excellent and reasonably priced tour. Be prepared for a bit of hard walking and have solid walking shoes/boots.

Bring good grippy shoes and dress to get wet. walking over the coral boulders can be a test in balance. The birds that dwell in the cave are an amazing sight.
