Taking a boat cruise on Aitutaki Lagoon is a must. We booked a day trip from Rarotonga. It was expensive but worth it. The lagoon is stunning. So unspoilt.

We had lunch here and enjoyed the fish wrap and burger. Good value, good service, great view and the wrap was generously filled with fish. Good virgin cocktails too

Beautiful Lagoon, unbelievable shades of blue. Plenty of fish and turtles seen. Unless you are staying on the island you only really only get to see it via a tour which was not what we would have wanted - but glad that we saw such...More

Before we came, everyone in Rarotonga raved about the lagoon. They weren’t lying! It is breathtakingly beautiful! I never knew there were so many shades of blue in the ocean. The main island is surrounded by a barrier reef and several small islands (motu). Inside...More

Was looking to just "get away from it all" - I got so much more than that. Aitutaki is a place where time literally slows down, the locals are friendly, warm and kind and the snorkeling is incredible!

The lagoon on the west side of the island is shallow enough to walk out to the coral. That side is nicely sheltered from the winds from the south and east. The much larger lagoon on the east side is deep enough for quite large...More
