There is not a lot in there at first impression and did cost $15NZ per person but once you start reading you will be glad you paid. Would recommend you go and visit at the start of your visit to Rarotonga to get an understanding...More

There is so much information and cultural history in this museum. We learnt a lot from walking and reading all of the information. It did seem a bit pricy for a small museum though.

Although the $15 admission fee is a bit pricey this museum was far superior to the National Museum we visited later in our stay. It provided a detailed history of the island, it's development and culture with banners, videos and displays and was very informative....More

I read voraciously anyway, so I came with some knowledge, but this small museum (15$ pp admission!) lays out the history of the Cooks using banners, video presentations (you can even watch a bit of The Offshore Pirate, filmed here in the Cooks) and dioramas...More
