Like elsewhere around Rarotonga's inner reef, the corals here are in serious decline with many sites showing 90% mortality of the hard corals. Even so, I enjoyed snorkeling here more than at Fruits of Rarotonga or Black Rock. If one swims out far enough towards...More

This was a good safe place to go swimming. I had expected more coral than what was there, but maybe I needed to go out further. Still worth a visit as there were some fish to see and the water was really nice and clear.

great snorkelling with fish swimming right up to you, a lot of very different varieties of fish at different times of the day, night snorkelling is very different with a complete different variety of fish it is a must to try

The fish are plentiful and amazing colours and sizes. Take some bread to feed them at the waters edge.

Protecting the marine life has paid huge dividends. An amazing array of beautiful tropical fish, friendly and curious just metres out from the shoreline in the lovely, calm lagoon. Lots of beautiful coral gardens, each hosting their own species of fish. There is one particular...More

This had the most amazing snorkelling. If you get here, get to it and get under water. My 8 year old and I adored it.

A lovely safe spot to snorkel with a dive shop across the road for anything you might need. You need to get out towards the reef to really get the best from this reserve but it's worth it. Tried lots of other spots around the...More

The resort supplies the snorkel gear but you need to get in early as they can run out. I doubt that you can rent, but probably best to take your own or possibly buy a set in town.

There are hourly buses around the island, one going clockwise, the other anti-clockwise, throughout the day. You can be dropped off and picked up right there.
