Husband loved the beer and the tour

Definitely worth the reasonable admission price. Very informative and amazing to learn that all beer is made to order. Buy a t-shirt and some beers and support this local industry.

This is described as a tour, but really it is a talk in the brewing area. However, fascinating, informative, and entertaining, accompanied with a few tasting glasses! Our 1 hour tour ended up nearly 1 hour 20 minutes!

This is an ideal activity to do if you like beer and have a spare hour. There are no bookings, its first in first served for the tour which runs at 12pm and 1pm and is only $10pp. You sit inside the brewery while James the owner tells you about his story and how they make the beer. During the... More

Absolutely a must if you're visiting Rarotonga! Good beers and a very dedicated little crew that needs all the support they can get. And the do deserve it!

Took advantage of a rainy afternoon to get indoors for an hour and do something I really wanted to do on this trip: the Matutu Brewery tour. James, one of the co-owners/founders of the brewery, started in 2006, was a humorous and charismatic presenter. The "tour" was more of an informal chat. We learned about production, marketing tactics, and participated... More

10$ pp tours at 12 & 1. I appreciate the work these guys are putting into there brewing, not easy to do in a place like Rarotonga. Got to give them credit for that in themselves. Doing it all manually. Loved all there brews and enjoyed being educated about the process. Definitely a good 10$ well spent.

When we travel we like to try and support the local brew, that being the case we found it's availability slightly haphazard in Resorts and Bars alike. I am so glad that on a slightly rainy day we (group of 6 adults) decided to take this tour. The tour was very informative and our questions on how various establishments could... More

Locally and family owned and ran. This is one of the most informative tours I've been on (and I'm from the American Midwest!). Love that these guys recycle their bottles, you can return them to the driveway bucket when your done! They also feed the left over hops to local farmers hogs. You get free ample sized samples and go... More

Well worth the money. If you like to support local and want a great, freshly made beer, this is the place to go. The owner talked for about an hour and could have talked longer. You get to sample about 3 different beers and learn the process of how they make it on the island.

This was a good thing to do on a rainy day... It is very interesting with a lot of information to take in, some very good stories of how the business began etc... Want something easy to do and out of the sun or rain.... Do this....
