There at the last day of the summer season. The ride up was fast scenic and worth it. See far away hanging glaciers, the fjords of Alaska and views for miles. The unscenic part was the actual ski area without snow.. ugly. You go up for the view. Walk around to see the views. If your hungry, wait until you... More

This is a favored location for family and friends.Stunning view and if you are a skier mountainous experience. Although it may not be as large as many locals around the world it has much to offer.

Great place to see. We went in the summer months with very little snow at the top but still, stunning views and lift is going regularly up and down.

I love Alyeska, one of my all time favorite ski resorts.I come here every month of the winter, the best time to go there is day after Christmas. It may be a little over crowded, but if you stay the midweek you get free lift tickets with your hotel stay. It usually clears out after a day or two. Plus... More

We decided to go see the view from the cable car. It was a bit pricey per person but If your military or retired its not so bad. When we got to the top it was amazing.

We took a day ride south of Anchorage and decided to stop for lunch to see Alyeska Resort. We chose to get the sky-lift and deli option at the top. What an incredible experience and amazing view! We were so glad we took this side trip!

Although not a skier the area is awesome. Went up in the tram to nearly the top of the mountain, fantastic views but a bit chilly! Was told that the mountain holds some of the best "Black runs" for skiers in the world. The tram is a great way to see the views over to Turnagain Arm and all around.... More

Alyeska is a huge ski station. A lot bigger then I thought it would be. They have a lot for runs of different difficulties but they reminded me of the Alps, very steep, difficult (my husband thinks awesome!) and terrific for good skiers. They have a lot of accommodations for the more modest to a big luxurious resorts and great... More

Drove from Anchorage, beautiful scenery. Took the tram lift to the top. Ate lunch up there. Food was ok, nothing really special tho.

We arrived and walked thru the well maintained lodge a group of students had arrived and were walking around as well. We came at a time when the tram was closed for maintenance. I would recommend to call ahead to make sure it is open and running. Still a great place for a short visit to look at the beautiful... More
