This is an uphill hike all the way. The trail is in good condition and offers views of Mt Juneau and the Gold Creek Basin. At the top you can get a good view of the channel. And, for those with knee issues, you can take the tram down for a nominal fee (or by showing a receipt for spending... More

Hike up to the Father Brown Cross where you will have fantastic 360 views but be aware it does get very windy up the top and the paths are well worn dirt.

We enjoyed our visit to Mt. Roberts. The staff from the tramway to everyone at the top of the Mountain were very friendly. We enjoyed the movie and the lady who introduced the movie was very interesting. Our best meal in Juneau was at the restaurant at Mt. Roberts. There are many hiking trails that were great. From the cross... More

This is a great stop. pretty difficult due to rapid elevation gain, but the view cant be beat. I was happy with the trek.

The trail starts at the cruise docks and with a semi steep slope you get to the top in an hour. If you take the cable car to the top, the trail continues following edges and small trail paths. Whichever you choose it is a breathtaking experience when you reach the top. Stunning views of Gastinau channel and beautiful nature.

Rode the gondola to the top of the mountain. Nice place to eat and great picture opportunities. Very nice gift shop.

Worth a visit, especially if the weather is nice. Enjoyed the hike. If you have binoculars, look for sheep!

My husband and I hiked this trail when we stopped in Juneau on an Alaskan cruise. It was the only excursion that we did that we did not book through the cruise and it ended up being our favorite. There are different levels of the trail and there is a sign/map that tells you how far to each stop. If... More

We hiked up the Mount Roberts Trail - my 54 yr. old husband with a bad foot and myself (the same age) with a bad knee and our 3 20-something year old kids. They had no problems with the trail...my husband didn't either or at least he didn't act like he did. I huffed and puffed but finally made it... More
