After visiting the Alaska State Capital, and resting on a bench, a local recommended this park for a nice walk. We loved the tall trees, the fast flowing creek and the quietness of the area on our short walk.

When I lived downtown, I used to love to walk my dogs to Cope Park. We'd walk (leashed) through the forested area, then cap off the walk with a nice tiring play session in their large dog run. This is one of the only places...More

part of our outing off the Nieuw Amsterdam, we were a group of 8 geocachers-CCC-Canadian Cruisin'Cachers, we were caching around Juneau and heading back down by easier side streets, and came across this local park. Easy trails to walk.

Close to the Governor's Mansion, found ourselves in this nice small park. Going through some major upgrades - should before summer is over. Looks like it will be a good place for kids to play.

Beautiful scenery. Some climbing. Absolutely worth the effort. Clear pools and roaring waterfalls through the forest make for a photo and mind relaxing experience.

Cope Park is pretty little local park within walking distance to the cruise ship docks, just a bit past the Governor's House, but unfortunately it is undergoing construction this summer (2016) and access may be limited.

Its not what it used to be. I do not recommend during the school season. Teenagers flock to the park to smoke and drink.

I was born and raised in Juneau and have been to this park many times over the years. It has some picnic tables under some evergreens, some swings, & large toys for kids to climb on. There is also a tennis court. It's near Gold...More

I love Gold Creek from here. You can just sit and enjoy or you can hike, play tennis or picnic. When I was a kid this was where the swimming pool was for swimming lessons...... brrrrr.
